Slideshow possibilities?

I’ve recently installed WordPress and Image Store on my clients website and can I just start off saying that what you have created is a truly remarkable piece of work. I come from a background of using classic ASP, HTML & Jquery languages and I practically created something fairly similar to Image Store, only not as slick.

Ok, to business. I have managed to persuade a client of mine to move from their old website to a wordpress site. On their old website stood a slideshow of random images on the homepage and would like a similar feature on the wordpress homepage. My client is wanting a slideshow (approx 500x500px) of some sort that scrolls through random public images every xx seconds from the Image Store gallery. I’m just wondering how this would be achievable, what would you recommend for a slideshow and whether anybody has already tried this before?

I am aware of the Cooliris option, however it’s not the kind of thing my client is wanting. More of a classic image to image fade transition would be ideal.

I would appreciate ANY help that you can provide in finding an adequate solution.
