published images

Hi again all the other comments that I posted are good to go and thanks. Here is the new question.

under the gallery you would have the images published . and then have for the image
Thumbnail, Metadata, Title/caption, Author, Order, ID
the question is on the caption
can this be edited afterwards, I have the gallery up and running no issue I would like to know if I can add a caption to the image since I did try and I can not . if it can be done can I add any html or short code into it ?
reason why I ask is I wold like to add a short code to like or unlike the individual photo (s) in the gallery(s)
