Hi Hafid,
You have done an awesome job with the latest version 3.1.0 – excellent work my friend. The colour filter and photo finish sections are great!!!
I just had a few questions or should I say requests if I may. 🙂
In regard to shipping, is it possible to have a toggle switch that can hide the shipping section. For example, say a client picks up their photo products, which means no shipping is required, it would be great if the client did not have to enter any shipping information. I feel this would be a huge plus, as I am sure a lot of photographers have clients pick up their photos – hence why I requested the custom shipping options earlier, which I thank you for developing.
Also, what is the customers section for?
I thought that if you added customers, this would be integrated with a Gallery somehow. For example, if you check a customer in their gallery edit page, maybe customer specific information could automatically appear in say the shipping section of the shopping cart. Is the customers section is for further development in the future?Kind Regards,
Damian
Wipeout MediaAugust 4, 2012 at 7:07 pm #48805Xpark MediaKeymaster@wipeoutmedia there is no off option for shipping but you can do is add a new “Pick up” option with a 0 value
The “customers” section is used for many purposes:
- keep track our your customers.
- if you have many galleries from one customer, you can provide just one login for them and they can access all their galleries buy assigning galleries to the customer.
- Pre-populating orders using the email notification option.

Thank you for your reply and explanations.
I understand what you are saying with the Customers now thanks. I see that keeping track of customers is a good idea. In regard to one login, yes this is a good too, although repeat customers will not see any of their earlier galleries due to the gallery being expired. In our case, we provide 7 days for the client to choose the photos but if we were to keep it on the gallery for longer, we will be waiting and waiting for the clients to choose, which is not ideal.I am starting to really understand your market or demographic for this great plugin of yours. It seems very suited for those photographers that would sell for example professional landscape photos, you know – photo prints that you would like to sell online anywhere around the world. That said, I would really like to see this plugin working for your portrait studio photographer. Photographers that have local clients that need galleries to see their photo session online, choose their photos for printing, and then come to your studio to collect the prints. This is where I mentioned about being able to turn ‘off’ the shipping module completely. It is great that you can add a ‘Pick up’ option with a zero value, but not good to force customers to fill out all the address details for the shipping section, when they will be swinging on by to your studio to collect prints. Also, studio photographers would already have all the address details before or after the session.
Kind Regards,
