I have this notice with the WordPress 3.6 Update:
Notice: wpdb::escape is depreciated since 3.6 version! Use wpdb::prepare() or esc_sql() in place. in /public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2871
Consequently, I can not see any photos in the front end of the site.
August 3, 2013 at 3:10 am #54096Xpark MediaKeymasterYou should not operate your live site with the wp_debug on. This is not a major issue and should not cause problems if you deactivate debug mode.
The notice will be remove on the next release
August 3, 2013 at 1:48 pm #54107carobParticipantThe wp_debug is off (false) in my wp_config but I don’t see any photos on my site, I see a blank square. Before the WordPress update, I saw them.
August 6, 2013 at 10:53 am #54435carobParticipantThe conflict is not with WordPress update but with the latest version of Nextgen gallery. The version 2.0 of Nextgen gallery enter in conflict with Image Store and result, the thumbnails are not appear in Image Store in Photos but appear in Diaporama.
August 7, 2013 at 10:51 am #54438bclhaynesParticipantOne more thing to add after I deactivate NextGen I do get the thumbnails back in the gallery however attempting to open them does still return the message to open or save the image.php file.
August 7, 2013 at 10:55 am #54439rtb1982ParticipantI’m not sure what happened to my last post. Basically I updated my site and got the same issue as the original poster with the grey squares. The first time I opened the square it opened the images in carousel but after I deactivated/ reactivated the plugin and refreshed my permalinks I got a message to save or download the image.php file.
I then disabled the Nextgen gallery plugin which gave me the thumbnails back in the image store but still got the message to open of save the image .php.
Any help would be great as I have a requirements for both plugins.
August 9, 2013 at 12:36 am #54421rtb1982ParticipantI am also experiencing this same thing today after updating my test site. I also use Nextgen gallery for my regular site portfolio. I did validate that disabling the Nextgen plugin returns normal functionality to the image store plugin.
I get the small blank squares and when I try to open the images I get prompted to open or save image.php.
Any fix would be very welcome as I have a requirement to use both of these plugins simultaneously.
I will also open up a topic on the Nextgen forum with the same thing to see if they can do anything on their end.

I have also contacted the Developer of the NextGen Plugin and passed on the info this plugin to him. I am not sure how something like this works basically these two do not play nice but in this instance are two very popular plugins among photographers. Nextgen is especially popular across work press in general.
I can say that it appears they are having a lot of issues with sites breaking after introduction version 2.0 which is a total rewrite.
Is this one of those lest see who bends first deals or are there times where you work with other develpers to determine a solution?
For the sake of trying to find a solution I will leave my test site in a broken state until I hear from either you or the NextGen plugin developer. Would you mind trying to look at my site at your earliest convenience to try and shed some light on where the conflict may be?

August 9, 2013 at 1:31 pm #54450Xpark MediaKeymasterWe are aware of the issues with php notifications, but it should not show if you have the WP_DEBUG option off, if any other plugin is activating this option by default they have big issues.
We were busy updating our site as you can see but we will release a fix for the php notices in a few days and we will look at php download issue.
In the mean try just update an option in the image store plugin that should update any cache on the images that is if you guys are not using any other cache plugin.
August 12, 2013 at 6:12 pm #54562rtb1982ParticipantI updated the NextGen Plugin to the new version and now i can open images without the image.php notice however it no longer opens images in light-box.
Additionally it does not allow me to select a photo. I still have the test site available with both plugins active. I also have the user id and password that i send to you active.

Im not sure if anyone has had a chance to login to the site and take a look yet. If needed I can also provide and FTP credentials.
Another thing to note is the Developer of NextGen is working hard to also fix as many issues at they can as a result of this major revision to their plugin. They are releasing updates at least once a week and may start releasing more daily.
Should we leave this communication in this thread or start a new thread titled NextGen v2.0 and up breaks Word Press image store?
August 17, 2013 at 8:12 pm #54702Xpark MediaKeymastersorry, we have not we will look at it in 2 days, we are also working on a few other fixes for a new release.
August 21, 2013 at 12:01 pm #54735rtb1982ParticipantOk I have some more updates on this issue. First off I have updated the Next-Gen Gallery to the latest public release 2.0.11 and Image store is still not working.
I have disabled all plugins except for the Image Store (including Next-Gen) This still does not allow image store to function properly.
If I change my theme to a default theme twenty thirteen. This seems to fix light box issues with NextGen 2.x.x and also allows me to open the images in the wordpress image store in a lightbox. It does not allow me to click on select to add an image to the cart.
If I disable the nextgen plugin it does the same as above.
If I re enable my Custom Theme “HER” it goes back to opening NextGen in a new window without lightbox, and Image Store will not open images instead it gives me the message to open the image.php.
So at this point im not sure if the Next-Gen effectively broke WordPress Image Store, My Theme or both. Let me know what you can find after playing with the site when you get a chance. Like I said reply to my email from last week giving you and id and password if you need ftp access.
August 25, 2013 at 11:12 pm #54762Xpark MediaKeymasterAt a first glance – and this has always been an issue on nextgen – the plugin is full on php notices and error. When errors are present in the php download don’t work properly.
The more technical term is that file headers are not set properly. The theme may have the same issue.
August 26, 2013 at 9:39 am #54774rtb1982ParticipantIf this has always been an issue I wonder why it worked prior to the new release?
So you are saying that there is nothing that can be done on the Image Store end to get this to function? So this is also the reason that I can not select the items to add to cart either?
Sorry i’m more of a end user than a developer so I don’t really understand file headers and how they work.
