I upgraded my test site to version 3.3.0 and when I login to a gallery and purchase an image I see the new option to create the account or login to view images that have been purchased. Can you explain how this works better and read over my questions below.
Currently I did not get a password for an account?
1. When I register with an ID and my test email account I never get an email with a password. I was logged in as an administrator
2. I then tried once logged in as a user and entered my test email address but when I try it says that the email address is already used.
So I have a few questions based on the above
1) Do you have to be logged in as a user to create the account and generate the email to send out the password.
2) How do you delete records for email addresses already in the database? Additionally how do you manage the accounts after the fact to see what is has been purchased by the clients, and either reset a password etc.
3) How can the clients login again without having to purchase another digital downloaded image?
4) If you want how can you disable this feature so that its not even an option as i’m sure its going to confuse clients especially if the above are not working.

It looks like it creates a actual login on my word press site. But when I login with the password that it creates it just takes me to the site. I don’t see any links for previously purchased images or something like this.
Am I missing something?
June 28, 2013 at 1:28 pm #53589rtb1982ParticipantOk so now playing with this some more i’m starting to understand it more. I see now that I have to click on the option in word press on the top right to edit my profile and look at my pictures.
The issue I have is I tried to purchase another image after I was already logged in, and it definitely does not add it to the Customer purchase login images. If I log out of the customer area and then purchase an image it does show up. Is there any way to get around that, as I can bet users would purchase and be looking at their images then want to buy another image and it will not be added to their previously purchased images.
Finally how do I delete these images and or how are they linked to the client gallery. If I delete the gallery from the image store does it delete the images from the secure gallery and from they word press customer profile and then delete the user account?
Or do I need to delete the image store gallery, then delete the profile as well to delete these images. Or do I have to do both then still go into word press and look for the images somewhere else to delete the images?
Again it may be better to be able to disable this if possible but could be useful.
Thanks
June 30, 2013 at 4:06 am #53598Xpark MediaKeymasterFinally how do I delete these images…
You can’t delete the images purchased by customers you can only delete them by modifying the database.
The galleries get assigned by you, these are galleries that only the customer can access and that way you don’t have to send them a separate login for each gallery.
If I delete the gallery from the image store …
If you delete the image store completely it will remove all galleries but not customers you may have to change user roles
Deleting the user will remove all data associated with the user.
June 30, 2013 at 5:36 pm #53607rtb1982ParticipantSo i still don’t understand.
“The galleries get assigned by you, these are galleries that only the customer can access and that way you don’t have to send them a separate login for each gallery.”
I don’t create any galleries other than the initial secure image store gallery and issue the clients a username and password. They then create this account at checkout which then creates their own account word press site and it links to downloaded images that they purchased.
You are saying there is a way for me to link multiple image store galleries to a user account? I never have the users access images after a two week period and i don’t think i want to get into the habit of leaving their images up on my site forever as it will use up all my hosting space.
“You can’t delete the images purchased by customers you can only delete them by modifying the database”
How can i not delete images if i’m the admin….??? Again if i don’t delete them my hosting space will be used up.
You are saying after I cant ever delete these images even if i delete the image store gallery without modifying my database or deleting the image store plugin completely? “If you delete the image store completely it will remove all galleries”
Finally is there a way we can disable this if i don’t want or need this setup.
Perhaps I dont really understand the appeal as its not clearly documented. If I cant ever delete these images this just seems like a strange feature considering I will now have to manage all these extra WordPress accounts and use up space?
July 2, 2013 at 11:51 pm #53629Xpark MediaKeymasterYou are saying there is a way for me to link multiple image store galleries to a user account? Yes, there is a “customer” metabox in each gallery where you can assign users. This is just an option you don’t have to do it this way.
How can I not delete images if i’m the admin….??? Once You can delete the gallery, but the user will not be able to download the purchesed galleries.
You can delete the galleries but you can’t remove the purchased images from a user account, you can only do it by modifying the database.
Finally is there a way we can disable this if i don’t want or need this setup.
currently you can only remove this feature by using the Image Store’s APIAugust 15, 2013 at 12:00 am #54659chaosboiParticipantSorry to ask a dumb newbie question, but how do I switch off the customer login/account option with the API.
What code do I use and where do I post it?
Really appreciate your help.August 16, 2013 at 2:03 am #54674Xpark MediaKeymasteryou can un-publish the page or remove the code. If you have all your galleries secured you need to remove the password for the gallery.
If you don’t want the password by default you can disable this option in settings > galleries > Secure galleries
August 16, 2013 at 2:08 am #54676chaosboiParticipantWhen people pay by checkout, once the purchase has been made, down the bottom is asks if you want to login or create an account to view your images.
That’s all I want to remove, to option for people to create an account or login.
I still want secure galleries.August 17, 2013 at 8:03 pm #54700Xpark MediaKeymasterAt the moment you could hide it using css but there is no option, will add something on the next release.
August 18, 2013 at 4:26 am #54705chaosboiParticipantI’m sorry to ask..but what code do I use? I guess I add this the same place I added the code to change the ‘checkout’ button?
