    Is there any way to display a single image? Like if I add a new image to an gallery and want to highlight it on the front page of my site?

    you can use the shortcode to display just the first image

    [[ims-gallery id=GALLERYID number=1]]

    True; but that’s not really what I need.

    I sell train pictures and I have galleries by the railroad company. If I add a new image to the Amtrak gallery; it’d like to be able to embed that new image into a blog post on the front page to highlight it.

    Has this feature been implemented in any of the new releases? I have a photo being published soon I would like to highlight in a front page post but this plugin won’t give me the option to display a single photo in a galley as of last check.

    I love everything about this plugin except that.

    no, not via shortcode you can always copy the image url and add that in the content <img src=”IMAGE-LINK” /> or user the code mentioned above.
