    When using the “scan” option to import images that were uploaded through FTP into a gallery, the files are not correctly imported if the filenames have special characters. For example:

    Fußball.jpg
    Test_an_ümläüt.jpg

    In the database, the filenames will be incomplete:

    Fu
    Test_an_

    This breaks the entire gallery and the directory has to be renamed to re-attempt a scan since the incomplete file names remain in the DB even after permanently deleting the gallery.
