Is there anything i need to do on the paypal side to get paypal live to work. I have the plugin set to live and have my paypal email address in the field however when someone checks out it never passes to paypal. I get the message Error “Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again.”
Do I need to configure an IPN for paypal live?
August 30, 2012 at 1:02 am #49458Xpark MediaKeymasterConfiguring the IPN is a good idea, but not necessary; point the url to your home page or the cart page. Also make sure that you are adding “Pal Account E-mail” under settings > payment.
Just a note, to process payments via PayPal your cart cant be $0

I tried to configure IPN and tried without IPN and still no info in the SALES section of the plugin. Is this something I am doing wrong? Palpal transactions are working and order info comes from Paypal receipt but would really like to utilize the sales portion of my plugin. Also a confirmation email is being sent to me but not my customers when they make a purchase and they do enter their email. Only thing they receive is a Paypal receipt.

I’m experiencing the same issue. I just updated to 3.1.4.

This is a client’s site and she can’t accept payments right now, so please get back to me ASAP.
Thanks,

Also it could be because their is no color option try just having the “full color ” option see if that make a difference.
September 3, 2012 at 1:55 pm #49579Xpark MediaKeymasteralso try updating your price list, just by clicking update
September 3, 2012 at 3:15 pm #49585DaveParticipantWe are having the same issue as the original poster. We updated to 3.1.4 today. Followed all your suggestions above and sub-totals are correctly showing up in the cart. Screenshot (styles disabled): http://cl.ly/image/1Y3b2j1j0x06
However, clicking “Checkout using… PayPal” takes the user to PayPal with the same error message, “Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again.” This happened both in live and sandbox modes.
Please advise,
September 3, 2012 at 6:18 pm #49588dgladneyParticipantI deactivated and activated the file when I updated it. Was there some other step I needed to take? What files should be deleted?
I checked the the color option–that’s not the issue. I’ve tested price lists both with and without color options.
Also, it’s not an issue with values being passed to Paypal. Even when there are no subtotals, shipping is still being calculated, so that should be passed to Paypal. Plus, I’ve tested it with the price lists that still work and calculate subtotals, and I still get the same message.

September 4, 2012 at 12:49 am #49622Xpark MediaKeymaster@Dave what is the link to your site? is all the cart data correct?
September 4, 2012 at 9:29 am #49639DaveParticipantSent that info to you privately.
September 5, 2012 at 12:17 am #49646Xpark MediaKeymasterIt looks like this is an issue with PayPal and tax calculation, I tried using the three methods that they have to calculate taxes with no luck. Remove the tax calculation and everything works fine.
September 5, 2012 at 8:05 am #49657DaveParticipantConfirmed, removing the sales tax percentage works; cart & prices are correctly sent to PayPal now.
Our client will need to charge sales tax, however… so I trust this can be fixed in a future release. As for now this is a satisfactory workaround.
Thanks!
September 5, 2012 at 8:16 am #49658DaveParticipantAnother workaround: sales tax can also be set up on PayPal’s end.
