Hello, this is a great plug-in! If only i could get the last bits to work for an end to end test. I have the plugin installed on a development site here: http://176.32.230.17/jamesmallorie.com/image-store/
I have tried buying a few images using paypay and the transaction works through paypal (live : money is moved from my account and email sent from paypal) but either the page that it redirects to shows total:£0 & no transaction ID (also nothing in the back end as an order) or I will receive a transaction ID but no instructions or link for the downloadable content (Price is correct & Transaction ID) but as a customer i do not receive an email or the downloadable content.
Also on a side note does the plugin generate the right size images (from the original to send the customer for downloads etc?
Thanks in advance – James
June 23, 2013 at 2:42 pm #53521Xpark MediaKeymasterThe domain needs to be accesable to PayPal to be able to post the sales transaction. If you are testing on a local computer sales transaction won’t process.
The plugin will generate the image if the image is big enough to create all image sizes. I will keep the image proportional.

Thanks for the quick response! Thats great to hear about the image sizing (saves a lot of work for the back end thanks) The plugin is on a live site, the ip is on one of our dev servers its just using a temp web address until we have the last bugs ironed out, so paypal should not have a problem seeing the site. Or are you saying that using a temporary web address would stop paypal seeing the site?
Thanks

Using a temporary address should not be a problem as long as the site is not restricted and is online.
If you are testing in Paypal sandbox try the IPN tool? But it should not be any problems. Do you see any error in your server log? or look for a “ipn_log.txt” file for failing responses in the image store folder directory.

I have taken the site from the development server and put it on the live server. I can access all the pages fine now (with no leading/ip) but after testing we are still seeing the same problem, we are using a live paypal account (just a penny while we test) the plugin directs to paypal fine and lets us pay, re-directs us back to the website but there is no download link and there is no transaction in the back end.
The link to the plugin is here: http://www.jamesmallorie.com/photos/summer-solstice-at-stone-henge-2013/photos/
Thanks
July 4, 2013 at 7:34 am #53642chiller149ParticipantWe have found a ipn_log.txt in the image-store folder. There are 7 entries in there but each one is related to www.sandbox.paypal.com – there is nothing in there from http://www.paypal.com. Does this help?
thanks
July 10, 2013 at 12:21 am #53677Xpark MediaKeymasterIt sounds like the plugin are not getting the right values to/from Paypal. Also if the transaction is pending the plugin will provide downloadable links until the transaction is clear.
If you are using the latest verion of the plugn the user can create an account an come back to their account and download the links.
October 7, 2013 at 4:27 am #55124chiller149ParticipantHi There,
Its been a while. I have just updated the Image store to the new version hoping that this would resolve the problem, but it unfortunately still persists. I can make a payment through the live paypal payment gateway and it will return me the website, but the following is what i am returned to. It just looks like the information is not being brought through on the transaction page.
The screenshot is here: http://www.jamesmallorie.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2013-10-07-at-12.22.04.png
Any help you can give would be great.
Thanks
JamesOctober 10, 2013 at 9:02 pm #55128Xpark MediaKeymasterif could be that you are missing some information for a previous update, if you can remember your settings. go to settings > reset and restore all the values to the default settings.
This should work also check the checkout message to be sure that you are not missing any replacement tags.
October 14, 2013 at 2:33 am #55147chiller149ParticipantHi guys,
Thanks for the quick feedback. We have now rest the plugin from the setting panel and ran through payment from end to end. The following screenshots is what is now happening. We are getting the payment through paypal. we are receiving and order number (as a customer which was not happening previously) and we are getting an email saying “thanks for your order”
Thank you page with transaction number: http://www.jamesmallorie.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2013-10-14-at-10.13.14.png
Backend email set-up with replacement tags: http://www.jamesmallorie.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2013-10-14-at-10.16.30.png
Email: http://www.jamesmallorie.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2013-10-14-at-10.29.15.png
The problem is however (as you can see from the screen grabs) that we still do not have access to download the image once we have paid for it. A download link in the email confirmation would be good, but ideally one on the “thank you” page is what we are really looking for. The process of (select image > Cart > Payment gateway > return > thankyou/download.link)
Is that supposed to happen automatically? Should it come from the %instructions% tag ( i think that is what is not being brought through as its in the set-up but nothing is on the thankyou page? Thanks again for your help so far and we are looking forward to using this plugin as it was intended 🙂
Thanks
JamesOctober 16, 2013 at 12:30 am #55149Xpark MediaKeymasterLook like all the translactions are working fine now.
For the downloadable links please check that your pricelist have the “downloadable” option activated. Just check the checkbox next to the image name.
Also if the payment is pending the user will not get the downloadable links this is to be sure that you are paid before allowing the user to download the links.
October 17, 2013 at 4:57 am #55154chiller149ParticipantHi Thanks,
We have now changed the “downloadable” in the price list and checked through end to end. This is now all working! The image is available to download on the thank you page.
Thanks for you help
