Unable to add a Gallery

Hello – I installed the plug-in and am having trouble adding Galleries.  Every time I try, I get the following error:

“You are not allowed to edit this post.”

I’m guessing the error is because I have not assigned a user permission to add galleries – how do I assign the admin permission to manage galleries?

Any help you can provide is very much appreciated.
