Placing an order (manual payment), we receive the order receipt as admins, but the customer neither get an email nor any download links. Products are with px and made downloadable.
How can we send the downloadlink to the customer?
Will this be a 1-time link or does the customer see our file structure?
Thank youApril 7, 2012 at 8:07 am #45960April 7, 2012 at 6:28 pm #45980
do you have the receipt option checked? if no not the customer is not going to get a receipt at all. settings > checkout > Email receiptApril 7, 2012 at 6:33 pm #45984
Email purchase reciept to customers if they provide an email.
was checked and an email was provided with the order.April 14, 2012 at 2:48 pm #46185
There is still no email sent to the customer, but after PayPal payment a confirmation page with a download link appears. The downloaded file has no extension and can’t be opened, even adding .jpg or the like. You might try it yourself with the 0.01 € option. it shall have the size of 320×320 px.April 14, 2012 at 4:22 pm #46186
OK, sorry. The mail was received later on into the Junk folder, so I didn’t find it.
Now the mail contains 5 links for 2 fotos bought, but each link results in a “page not found”, even that I klicked immediately after receiving the email.
In the pricelist the photos have 320×320 px and are downloadable. “nothing will be delivered” is just a description.
Can you please give advice, how we can solve this issue?

Is it possible to add a download Link via Shortcode in the settings for customer email receipt?
There is a option that provides different settings to the email called “purchased receipt”. Is there a possibility to add download link here?April 28, 2012 at 3:14 pm #46608
if your image sizes are set to be downloadable and you have the receipt check the user should received an email with the download linksMay 17, 2012 at 5:44 am #47136
can you eventually log into our system and analyze this bug? It would be very important for us and we are willing to donate for a quick solution of this issue.
Thank you!May 21, 2012 at 3:22 am #47201
I am looking at this issue.
one thing that you guys should know is if paypal or google is unable to process the payment or if the payment has a pending status the links are not generated until the payment is approve.
if your customers are not getting the email advice them to check their spam box.
Some hosting companies restrict emails created by php, your server should have a registered email address that looks like this [email protected]
One other thing, check is your image sizes make sure that you are using pixel for downloadable image and that the images that you are uploading are big enough.
Image sizes will work better if you name them using the image dimensions something like 20×20 16×26May 21, 2012 at 7:14 am #47204
Paypal checkout works, payment is not pending, but immediately processed.
receipt email doesn’t go to spam
image size are in 320×320 px and downloadable (Test 320×320)
receipt mail contains two links to an empty page:

In my case, I’m using Email notification only in the Gateway selection. The admin email is generated just fine, which means the mail system works, it’s just not generating the customer’s email.May 21, 2012 at 5:07 pm #47225
The system doesn’t generate a receipt email since the user doesn’t provide any payment information. The email notification option is more of a manual process.
I guess the customer can still receive an email with a list of purchased items but they will not receive download linksMay 21, 2012 at 5:11 pm #47226
Your issue is more likely to be a permission issues or the script just can’t find the images for download.
Update your image sizes, just click “update sizes” under the “pricing” menu. This will rebuild the dynamic image table.
