OK, so I’ve played around with the Paypal settings some more and now when it redirects back to my site I get the ‘receipt’ page but the order information on that page is blank, and no email is being sent to the buyer (but is being sent to the seller, as is the money) and no order information is being entered into the Sales section of the admin pages.
Is there a list of settings that have to be set in Paypal for this to work as it seems that’s where the problem lies, its just that I have no real idea what they might be (as there are a lot!)

I’m having a similar problem, in that orders and payment are being received by Paypal, and I am getting the money and the new order notification email.
However, after Paypal has finished processing the order it redirects to my site, but the page is totally black (as in nothing but white in the browser). The URL reads:
…/galleries/gallery-name/receipt
Is there a ‘receipt’ page missing that I need to set up?
Furthermore, no email is getting through to the buyer, even though I am getting a purchase notification and the money is entering Paypal.
Finally, the sale is not registering in the admin section of the site.
Following the above advice, I have configured Paypal so the IPN URL is my homepage and that message delivery is enabled.
That would be a good feature, as I cant imagine many people would want multiple copies of the same image, but the packages are a good way of offering discounts and encouraging bulk purchases.

I’ve changed the ‘allow_url_fopen’ to ‘on’ in a php.ini I’ve set up and uploaded to the ‘public’ folder of my site but that has made no difference.

sorry if this is a repost but my last comment doesn’t seem to have posted.
Where do I find the “allow_url_fopen” option? Ive installed 3.1.1 (and and deactivated and reactivated it a number of times) and im still having the same issue in that thumbnails dont appear in the main site and dont appear in the WP admin/editing pages.

I am also having a problem with images not showing up. I dont think its the theme as the thumbnails are not showing up in the ‘add gallery’ / ‘edit gallery’ admin pages.
The files are uploading as the data is there, and when clicked the full size image loads, its just that there no thumb.
Within the site no thumbnails show, and when clicked the full image does not load.
I only installed the plugin for the first time yesterday, and for what I need it seems perfect (and there appears to be now alternative), so I would very much like this to work.
Hope someone can help!
